GLASGOW NORTH EAST NEEDS A FRESH START NOT THE SAME OLD LABOUR PARTY - BAXENDALE

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Mon 19th Oct 2009

Commenting as the Labour party officially launch their campaign for the Glasgow North East by-election, Liberal Democrat candidate Eileen Baxendale said:

"Glasgow North East needs a fresh start, not the same old type of politician from the same old Labour Party.

"It is the Labour party that have overlooked this area for generations. At council level and at Westminster local people are fed up being let down by Labour.

"The Liberal Democrats are the only party that stand for real change and a new type of politics. We stand for openness and fairness.

"If elected MP for Glasgow North East I would offer local people the fresh start needed to breathe new life into this area."

Ends.
